Scene Opens:

The Combots who are marching in formation with the three mobian Eggman officers come to halt outside the computer room. Four of the big Combots stay close to the mobians and the rest of the Combots fan out away from the room so as not to crowd the small mobians now standing next to the computer room door. This large group of Combots forms an outer semi-circle ring layer while the four closer Combots form a second inner ring. Both groups of robots face outward for possible attack. The commander gestures to the computer room and the 3E installer looks at his watch and then at the door.

Major Lyons (3E installer) “The room has to be checked before I go in”

Commander Grecko : (looks to his 2^nd in command) “Major Samson, go inside, sweep the room, and don’t forget the security system” (looks to the 3E installer) “It won’t be long”

Major Samson: (2nd in command) (opens the room and goes inside. He does a quick sweep of the room and comes back out) “It’s all clear” (completely forgets about disarming the security system)

Inside the computer room under the raised floor
Tails:  (in a hushed voice) “Did you see that gun he had? It was huge!”
Fiona: (in a hushed voice) “Yes I did” (grins)

Back outside the computer room
Major Lyons (3E installer) “This will take 3 hours and I cannot be disturbed during this time, understood?”

Major Samson: “Hey Lyons, can I get a quick peek at it?”

Major Lyons (3E installer) “NO! This is top secret!” (eyes the other Major in annoyance)

Major Samson: “Aw come on”

Commander Grecko : “MAJOR SAMSON! You will stop that this instant! No one is supposed to see it, not even me. Now just guard the door”

Major Samson then grumbles something not heard by either the commander or the installer. The 3E installer looks at the other two and then his watch and then goes inside the computer room. Tails and Fiona see the 3E installer walk in the room and put his large briefcase down. He proceeds to dismantle the probe hooked to his head and roll up the wire. Fiona smiles at Tails as this is a crucial step to making sure they capture the 3E without the device being destroyed by the booby traps inside it. They watch as the raccoon mobian begins to work on prepping the 3E to install it. He disarms the booby traps and unpacks his large briefcase. He takes out a smaller case with a stenciled 3E on it and sets out his tools. Fiona and Tails slowly and stealthily crawl out from the raised floor nearby. Tails and Fiona split up and come at the installer from two different directions. That way if the installer spots one of them the other will have a clear shot from behind.

Meanwhile outside the computer room door:
Major Samson just realizes he didn’t shutoff the security system and thinks it’s odd that it didn’t go off when he entered the room. Nor is it going off now when the 3E installer is in there right now.

Major Samson: (he wonders ) “Could it be broken?” (but he doesn’t feel like he should go look as he was told not go in, he looks over at the commander)

Commander Grecko : (just then his phone rings and he answers it) “Hello… Why are you bothering me at this time? What is it?... (he continues to talk on the phone)

 Major Samson: (Sees the commander is preoccupied with his phone conversation and keeps wondering about the security system. Then he realizes it would be a great excuse to go see the 3E and decides to go inside. He slings his assault rifle around his shoulder so it doesn’t look so threating when he goes in)

Meanwhile inside the computer room:
Tails: (Has sneaked up next to the 3E installer and sees him using the wrong size screwdriver) “You need a size 4 hex point for that” (said rather coyly)

Major Lyons (3E installer): (Looks at the screwdriver with a confused look as if to say “Hey you are right, it is the wrong one” then suddenly gasps and stares at the two tailed fox standing next to him. But before he can move another muscle he is clunked on the head by a metal object held in Fiona’s hand. He slumps forward and Tails catches him before he hits the floor)

Fiona: (in a hushed voice)  “Quickly put the 3E back in the case so it doesn’t get damaged if we drop it” (the smaller case is padded to protect it from minor drops)

Tails: (in a hushed voice) “Okay… Wait!.. Is that the door?”

Fiona: (in a hushed voice) “I’ll go check it out, stay here and get the 3E in the case”

Tails: (Crouches down and is trying to put the 3E back in the smaller case and also trying to watch Fiona as she moves towards the door. He loses sight of her and quickly concentrates on getting the 3E in its case)

Major Samson: (coming in the room and announces himself) “Hey Major Lyons, don’t freak out, it’s only me. The security system in here is faulty. I forgot to disarm…” (stops talking as he feels a tap on his shoulder)

Fiona: “Goodnight!” (punches him hard in his jaw and the Major hits the floor knocked out)

Tails: (Hears a thud and quickly comes around the corner with the 3E in its smaller case. He sees Fiona hoisting up a large assault rifle while standing over a knocked out mobian hedgehog in an Eggman officer uniform)

Fiona: (holding up the large assault weapon) “Sweet! Look at this Robotbuster!”

Just then the door next to Fiona opens up, it’s the commander of the base coming in because he saw his 2^nd in command go in the computer room.

Commander Grecko : (walks in and stops in the middle of doorway as he stares at Fiona)

Fiona: (swiftly moves and slams the rifle butt into the startled commander’s gut as he stares at her with an astonished look on his face. The commander goes flying backwards out the door holding his gut. Fiona turns her head to Tails) “TAILS, TAKE THE 3E AND RUN! I WILL DISTRACT THEM AWAY!” (then goes out the door with the assault rifle)

Tails: “FIONA!” (She’s going to get herself killed!)

Fiona: (comes out the door to the computer room screaming) “LET’S ROOOOOOOOOOOCK!” (opens up with the assault rifle and lays out a volley of super-heated plasma into the inner ring of Combots facing away from the door. The first two Combots spark and fizzle as they are shredded to pieces, shot in the back by the assault rifle blasts. The next two Combots are in the process of turning to face her as they are blasted by Fiona’s assault rifle)

Combot#1:

The Combots literally fall to pieces as super-heated plasma from Fiona’s rifle splits apart their hardened metal chassis as if it was made from cardboard.

Fiona: (Gives a saucy grin as she stands over the commander who is sprawled out on the floor holding his gut. The barrel of the assault weapon bellows steam from the moisture in the air being vaporized by the super-heated plasma) “Scratch four Combots!” (she snidely remarks to the commander as he stares at the steaming barrel looming close to his face)

Tails: (Stops in the computer room doorway and points not too far off in the distance) “FIONA LOOK!”

Fiona: (looks up and sees a about 2 dozen Combots turning to face them… their electronic eyes all glowing red as their logic circuits  quickly process the events unfolding) 

"Ohhhh crap…” (she squeaks)  (she turns to Tails) “I  told you run for it! BACK INSIDE TAILS!”

(as she bolts for the door she hears the repeated synthesized voice of behind her)

Fiona barely gets inside the door when the Combots start to fire. The door and walls are armored to protect the vital computers inside the room. The thick metal dents and heats up as the combot blasters and lasers impact on it but it won’t hold for long. The screams of the commander can be heard as he is sprawled out on the floor between the Combots firing and the computer room being fired upon. The firing stops and the commander can be heard shouting “CEASE FIRE! YOU’LL HIT ME! CEASE FIRE!”

Tails: (looks at Fiona after they close and lock the door) “Don’t do that again and stop trying to get me to leave!”

Major Samson: (Slowly getting up dizzy from being punched by Fiona)

Fiona: (ignores Tails remark and clonks the Major on the head with the rifle butt as she passes by him) “Stay down!” (the Major falls back on to the floor unconscious) “Come on Tails! Back out the raised floor”

The pair of vulpines quickly make their way through the raised floor area and into the storage room, they are much less hindered now without the IR stealth suits. They can hear sounds coming from the opening in the floor where they just crawled out of. Then they hear sirens go off as the base is now on alert.

Fiona “They must have gotten into the computer room, we have to make our way outside to the communications equipment. We need to still contact the Freedom Fighters to pick us up” (I have to get Tails out of here safely, the Freedom Fighters will kill me if he doesn’t make it)

Tails: (takes the smaller case with the stenciled “3E” on it and puts it in a small duffle bag which he slings over his neck and shoulder to make it easier to carry, he also stows the two test modules in it)  “OK let’s go”

Fiona leads Tails down a different path to get back to the entrance they came in through.

Fiona: “I’m sure the factory floor will be crawling with security bots now, they will spot us quickly out in the open, we better take the longer route through all the side passages and rooms, follow me” (After stealthily moving down a couple of tunnels Fiona stops Tails) “See the camera? Think you can go up and hold it while I run by this point” (pointing to a security camera that’s panning back and forth)

Tails: “Sure thing” (Starts up his whirling tails and hovers up towards the camera. He times his approach and angle just right and gets to the camera as it was panning the other direction. Tails grabs hold of the camera and pins it in one spot and gives Fiona the thumbs up signal)

Fiona: (starts running with the assault rifle ready to blast anything, she looks up at Tails and screams) “TAILS NO!” (but it’s too late)

Tails: (I can just disable the camera and we can be on our way) (unplugs the camera)

Fiona: (grimaces) “Now they know where we are!”

Tails: (just realizing that holding the camera in one spot may make the person watching it think it’s broken but holding it and then turning it off just may raise suspicion) “Uh oh…”

Over the base intercom: “ALL UNITS CONVERGE ON SECTOR 12, ALL UNITS CONVERGE ON SECTOR 12”

 The two foxes take off as fast as they can but as they are crossing a large room connecting two tunnels squads of Swatbots emerge at the other end of the room cutting them off from escaping.

Fiona: “OVER HERE!” (she screams to Tails as she starts firing the assault rifle at the Swatbots. Fiona and Tails then jump behind some boxes of spare parts)

Tails: (looks back at the tunnel they just came in and sees more Swatbots emerging from there too)  “Looks like we can’t escape the way we came”

Fiona: (pops up and picks off two Swatbots  before the laser fire from them forces her to drop back down) “There is a vent across over there behind those boxes, but there is no way we will make it over there without getting cut to shreds”

Tails: (briefly pops his head and sees the vent and boxes next to it many yards away. He sees that they have a direct path there but it’s out in the open like Fiona said) “I think I know how to get there. Get ready!” (braces himself and starts to wind up his spinning tails)

Fiona: (pops up again and shoots several bursts of hot plasma from her rifle at the two groups of Swatbots converging on the pair of foxes. She drop back down and then looks at Tails as his propeller like tails start to spin faster and faster as he holds himself in one spot, the air swishing around him) “What are you doing?” (she looks on curiously)

Tails: (Let’s go of the floor and unleashes all the built up speed he has generated. He zooms straight at Fiona and slams into her wrapping his arms around her chest to carry her. He puts all his energy into his tails as he turbo thrusts across the open floor)

Fiona: (looks down at her chest and sees where Tails hand is firmly gripping)

The pair of foxes streak across the open space as the Swatbots fire at them slicing the air with their laser fire but unable to hit them. They hit the boxes on the other side of the room and fall to the floor with Tails on top of Fiona.

Tails: (Panting and puffing and looks at Fiona) “We made it!”

Fiona: “OOOOK you can let go of me now and get off…” (smirking at him and pushes him a little with the side of the rifle which she almost lost a hold of upon impact with him)

Tails : (blushes as he just realizes where his hand was) “OH!…so sorry” (rolls off her to the side)

Fiona: “Slick move Casanova, now be a dear and open the vent while I entertain our company” she leans out the side of the pile of boxes and blasts several Swatbots marching in a line at them. They burst into flames and fall down like bowling pins.

Tails: (Goes over to the vent and tries to open it, he quickly realizes it’s bolted shut and would need a ratchet to open it) “We have a problem! It’s bolted shut!”

Fiona: “One universal bolt opener coming up!” (she points the assault rifle at one bolt and blasts it and then blasts the next one) “TADA!” (she says as she spins around to shoot again at the masses of Swatbots coming at them)

Tails: “Great!” (grabs the vent cover and lifts it up (it’s a hinged vent), sticks his torso inside the vent and peers down into the darkness., then looks back at Fiona) “Are you sure this is safe?”

Fiona: “INTO THE VENT PROPELLER BUTT!” (she uses her tail as a whip and snaps it on his rear causing him to lose balance and fall into the darkness of the vent shaft. Fiona lets out one final burst of her assault weapon and hops into the vent after him)

Tails is freefalling down into the darkness of the vent shaft, he instinctively uprights his body and starts to spin his tails to slow his decent. He pulls out his phone and uses the light on it to look around and sees the vent shaft bottom coming up towards him. He slows down just in time to land at the bottom and then hears Fiona sliding down above him. He looks up and Fiona plops right down on top of him and they both go crashing down.

Fiona: “Thanks for the soft landing”

Tails: (moans) “OOOooohhh… no problem”

Fiona  “come on… we need to keep moving” (she rolls over off of him and takes his phone off the floor of the vent shaft and goes into a horizontal vent shaft the leads away from the spot where they landed)

Tails: “Wait up!” (rubs his side and follows her as she shines his phone for light in the darkness)

The pair of foxes follow the vent shaft for few minutes and then they start to hear banging sounds from behind them.

Tails: “What do you think they are doing?”

Fiona: “Do you smell something?”

Tails: “I do.. it’s tear gas!”

Fiona: “The air draft is coming from behind! It will overtake us with the flow of air through this vent!”

Tails: “Not if I can reverse the airflow” (Tails braces himself and spins his tails like a fan and the airflow that was once flowing from behind shifts to pulling air from in front of them and pushing the vapors back to where it’s coming from)

Fiona: (she smiles as she watches him in action) “You are simply amazing! But we need to get out of this vent, they can put the tear gas on the other end and you will not be able to push air both ways”

They get to another vent opening to a room and Fiona maneuvers the assault weapon to blast the bolts off of it. They hop down to the floor and Fiona looks around to get her bearings as to where they are at now.

Fiona: “Just great  we are farther away from the entrance now”

Tails: “Hey there are some boxes in this room with yellow barcodes”

Fiona: “Well I guess you can try out your test module gizmo now”

Tails: (unpacks a box and takes out a rocket pod. Plugs his test module into it and watches the little lights on it flash indicating the pod is functional) “I have two, do you want to use the other one?”

Fiona: “No, I will stick to this assault rifle. It’s been pretty good so far. Besides rockets aren’t all that actuate. You do realize if you hit other rockets or bombs this whole place could go up?”

Tails: ”Yeah that wouldn’t be good” (he sticks the other test module into a second rocket pod and now is carrying two rocket pods) “They are a bit heavy, I don’t think I can fly now, well at least not very far anyway”

The two foxes leave the room and follow a tunnel to a door. They open it a crack and see a squad of Swatbots blocking the way guarding a junction point.

Fiona: (whispering) “They are blocking the way. I guess we will see if your gizmo works”

Tails: “I sure hope so” (he puts one of the rocket pods down as it’s pretty hard to hold both up at the same time)

Fiona: “There are only a few of them, on the count of three we go in and blast them, ok?”

Tails: “Okay”

Fiona: “One… two… three!” (She quickly pushes the door open and starts firing at a couple of Swatbots  that happen to be next to each other, the assault rifle cuts through them sending them to the floor in pieces)

Tails: (steps forward and points his rocket pod at a Swatbot and pulls the “trigger” button. All the rockets from the pod zip off at once and he falls back on his rear from the recoil. The targeted Swatbot is reduced to rubble as the overkill of rockets causes the room to fill with smoke and fire from the repetitive explosions on a single target. The explosions have a secondary effect on the Swatbots next to it as they fall over from the blasts.

Fiona: (polishes off the two remaining Swatbots as they try to get up and return fire, she turns to Tails who is looking at the empty rocket pod in wonder) “Hey genius, how about spreading out your fire and not firing everything at the first target?”

Tails: “I didn’t mean to do that. I guess I need to make a slight adjustment” (gets up and pulls out the test module from the spent rocket pod and starts to press some buttons on it. Once done he stows it in the small duffle bag with the 3E)

Fiona: (smiles) “Well now you know it works”

Tails: (gets the second rocket pod he left behind at the door, reprograms this one too) “Yeah, I just hope I can stay standing next time”

Meanwhile the Commander and Major Samson are meeting up with all the Eggman mobians that are in the base in the command center.

Commander Grecko : “Well we put tear gas into the vent system. I hope that puts a stop to them, we just need to figure out where they are at”

Major Samson: (holding an ice pack on his head) “We just lost a squad of Swatbots on one of the lower levels, they will be near that”

Commander Grecko : “Ahhhh so they left the vent system. The gas at least got them out of the vents. We will need to cover all the exits and then sweep the base”

Major Samson: “That dam vixen took my rifle!”

Commander Grecko : “Yes you idiot! She was standing over me with it! Just how many rounds does that thing have?”

Major Samson: “Ummm… a lot… I had the special extra capacity power cartridge on it”

Commander Grecko : “AGH! “(raising his hands in frustration at the Major) “We can’t let them escape! We have every security bot activated including the new Egg Orbs”

(Egg Orbs are small flying robots with blasters on them)

Lead Technician: “What do you want us to do?” (alluding to the technicians of the base) “We certainly aren’t going to look for them. It’s too dangerous”

 Major Samson: “Then cower in the command center you wimps!”

Commander Grecko : (to the technicians) “Just watch all the cameras and sensors and tell us if you spot them. The Egg Orbs have cameras on them too. Spread them out and search the base”

Major Lyons: (also nursing his head wound) “If you don’t get the 3E back we will all be finished!”

Commander Grecko : (said to Major Lyons) “Just sit here and wait, They won’t get out alive. Now where did Major Samson go?”

A bit later Tails and Fiona are sneaking through a tunnel trying to make their way out of the base.

Fiona: “GRRR” (Quickly raises her assault rifle and shoots down an Egg Orb that has just rounded the corner in front of them)

Tails: “What is that?” (looking at the smoldering remains of the Egg Orb)

Fiona: “An Egg Orb, it’s a new toy they just got.  It has a camera and a blaster on it. They know where we are at again”

Sure enough a few minutes later they start getting chased from behind by Swatbots , they fire their weapons at them as they run. Fiona blasts away with her plasma assault rifle while Tails uses the rocket pod launcher. They leave a path of destroyed Swatbots as they dart into a room to evade the pursuit. Then run out the door on the opposite end of the room and this leads to a large corridor lined with pallets with boxes on the them. The vulpines hide behind a group of boxes stacked next to an elevator.

Fiona: “This isn’t good” (looks at her rifle and then puts it down) “I’m out of ammo”

Tails: (Pulls his test module out of the rocket pod he is holding and puts it down too) “Me too”

Fiona: “All these boxes have are spare parts for the factory, no rockets. At least we lost them again”

Tails: “Where do we go now? It seems like we are going in circles”

Fiona: (sigh) “We kind of are, if only we could take the elevator, but we would be sitting ducks if they see us get in it”

Tails: “Well now that you don’t have that heavy gun or the rocket pod, I think I can lift you. So we can at least go vertical”

Fiona: “Vertical? YES! We can go into the elevator and then tell the elevator to go down and we secretly go through the emergency exit on the top of the elevator and you fly us up the elevator shaft.” (She points to an elevator across the room)  “That particular elevator will get us to the main entrance but that’s good enough at this point, once outside we can make it back to the radio to call the FF”

The pair of foxes sneak over to the elevator and are about to go to the front of it when they hear the ding sound that the doors are about to open. They hide behind some boxes and watch the doors open, a couple of Combots come walking out and look around. The Combots move on checking here and there for the pair of mobian foxes. After they leave Fiona motions for Tails to follow her to the elevator. She pushes the button and the doors open immediately, the pair of foxes look up to see an Egg Orb floating in front of them, apparently guarding the elevator. In a flash Fiona has jumped up and kicked the small flying object and it goes crashing into the back of the elevator.

Fiona: “Darn it! They know where we are again! We will send the elevator down to lead them away, let’s go” (she walks into the elevator)

Tails: (But they know we need to go up to escape, what if they send those Orbs after us in the elevator shaft? We will be sitting ducks! Oh I think I have a plan…) (He quickly pulls the case for the 3E out of his duffle bag and opens it. He then tosses the 3E to a started Fiona who catches it and stares at him wondering what is going on. He presses the UP button on the elevator and then backs out of the elevator) “I will lead them away and meet you up at the main entrance”

Fiona: (screams) “NO!” (but she can’t get to the doors in time as they close)

No sooner than the doors close in front of Tails steaks of light flash by him and he sees the two Combots charging towards him firing. “Time to fly!” he says and takes off flying with his spinning tails. He banks and curves his flight path to place the row of pallets between the Combots and him. This provides staggered cover as he flies past them. Tails waves the empty 3E case at the Combots as flies past them. He has only the test modules and his phone in his bag now so he is very flight mobile now. The Combots can’t hit the agile flying fox and he flies out of the room down a tunnel.

Major Lyons: (inside the security command center watching this on the combot’s eye camera) “HE HAS THE 3E! GO AFTER HIM!”

Lead Technician: (Also inside the security command center) “All security bots converge on sector 7, be on the lookout for a flying target. I repeat, the target is now airborne!”

Commander Grecko (Also inside the security command center, turns to the other Eggman security troops and technicians in the room) “Help guide the bots after that flying fox!”

Meanwhile in the elevator going up: Fiona has one hand on the 3E and the other hand on her head thinking about what to do

Fiona: (How could Tails do this to me?! (Sigh) He doesn’t know I lied about the secret mission. Even if I have the 3E and could escape now the Freedom Fighters will tear me to shreds for leaving Tails behind.) (Looks at the exotic looking black-box device) “Tails is more important than this thing. I can’t believe I got him into this, I have to go back for him!”

The elevator stops and the doors open. Fiona is about to push the button to go back down when she looks out in the large vast room which serves as the main garage for the base and connects to the main entrance. She sees two technicians helping the 2^nd in command of the base into a power armor suit. She smirks and walks out the elevator doors directly towards them out in the open.

Major Samson: (2^nd in command) (he has just engaged the power systems for the power suit and he slams the power armor suit fists together)” BOOYAH! Now I’m ready to take them on!” (turns to walk and sees a lone vixen in an orange an white jumpsuit walking across the garage floor directly towards them) “I don’t believe it!”

Fiona:  (now within talking distance with them) “That is such a cool toy, mind if I get in the other one and show you how it’s done?”

Major Samson: (looks at the vixen and then the other power suit and then back at her) “Cute…. Real funny… but no”

Fiona: “Really? How about we fight for this as the prize?” (holding up the 3E for them to see) “Or are you just afraid I’ll kick your ass” (smirks)

Major Samson: (Looks at the device and then the technicians) “Take her!” (then turns to Fiona) “You move and I will blast you”

Fiona: “You blast me in that power armor suit and the 3E goes up with me!” (she then looks at the technicians and does her stretch/chest pump/fighting pose) “Come and get it boys”

The two technicians look at Fiona and then at each other. Then they both look up at the Major in the big power armor suit and sheepishly step backwards away.

Major Samson: “OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! YOU GUYS ARE COWARDS! I’LL DO IT MYSELF!” (He power downs the armor suit and opens the cockpit (which is in the center mass of the armored suit). He steps out and is wearing a suit specially made for piloting the power armor “Okay sweetie, put it down (referring to the 3E) and lets handle this one on one, just you and me” (the mobian hedgehog stretches his neck and shoulder muscles as he walks forward)

Fiona: (Does a quick forward handspring acrobatic maneuver placing the 3E on the floor while she does the hand stand part. Upon landing back on her feet she smirks at them and then slowly backs away from the 3E with her hands spread out) “What are you waiting for, an invitation?”

Major Samson: (rubs his hands together as he smirks) “I’m going to enjoy bending that body backwards” (steps a bit closer to her) “This time you won’t catch me off guard!”

Fiona: (slowly circling him) “You know you can be the strongest guy in the world, but if you can’t hit your target. What good are you?”

Major Samson: “GRRR RAHHH!” (Swings at her)

Fiona: (Easily side steps his swing and keeps the two technicians in sight)

Major Samson: “Ohhh I like a challenge!” (regains his footing and then swings again)

Fiona: (Side fades the next swing and does a quick jab into the Major’s exposed side after his swing misses. She quickly retreats back after landing the blow to make sure the techs aren’t moving in to attack her) “Ohhh did that hurt?”

Major Samson: (Grunts and turns red) “I have a black belt!” (he declares)

Fiona: (laughing) “Oh? Did you get that online?”

Major Samson: “GRAAHHHH!” (comes at her with a combo of fist thrusts)

Fiona: (bends and shifts her body letting each fist miss while she keeps smirking at him) “Well I’m about to give you a black eye to go with your fat lip I gave you earlier”

Major Samson: (his eyes widen with anger and he snarls as he charges forward swinging wildly now)

Fiona: (dodges his raged filled attacks and at the right moment punches him in the face stunning him. Then moves in with a spinning kick to the face again as he stagers backwards stunned from the punch) “You can use your black belt to hold an ice pack on your face!” (steps forward with a heavy kick right into hedgehog’s chin and the Major falls backwards on to the floor unconscious)

The two Eggman mobian technicians look at the Major on the ground and then and each other. They immediately turn and flee as fast as they can. Fiona straightens her hair and swishes her tail as she walks over to the Major and proceeds to unzip his power armor piloting suit. She puts on the suit and climbs into the power armor and closes the hatch. She turns on the power to the suit and staggers and limps from side to side a few times while walking in the power armor suit as she tries to get over to a large elevator. She stops midway and turns, points the power armor arm cannon at the second power suit and blasts the exposed cockpit which is open (which is how they normally store it). The cockpit of the second suit burst into flames. “Wouldn’t want you to follow me “Sweetie” she says to the Major who still on the floor unconscious. Fiona turns and walks a bit better now that she is getting the hang of moving in the power armor suit, she then walks into the elevator. “It’s a good thing this suit adjusts to the user’s body movements, this is kind of embarrassing right now”. She then examines the weapons HUD system as she stands in the elevator going down and a big grin forms on her face.

(HUD stands for Heads Up Display)

Meanwhile Tails is zooming through the tunnels far below, leading the Eggman bots away from Fiona who he gave the 3E to, he has the empty 3E case which has fooled the Eggman troops into following him.

Tails: (I have no idea where I’m going but as long as I lead them away from Fiona she can get away, I only hope she can meet up with the rest of the Freedom Fighters and they all come to save me)

Tails zooms through the air, his mind shifts from 2D movement thinking to the full range of 3D by flying high and low which is the only thing keeping the numerous big slow Swatbots from hitting him. He easily evades their blaster and fists as he swiftly slips through their defenses when they try to block the tunnel entrances.  This allows him to escape their pursuit briefly.

Commander Grecko (inside the control room talking over the base radio to Eggman troops): ”Close the tunnel doors! Try to box him in! We need the Egg Orbs! Assemble the Combots!”

Tails then stops and sees a bunch of boxes with yellow barcodes on them. “More rocket pods, YES!” he says as he lands and opens the boxes. He takes out one of the test modules and plugs it into the rocket pod, the LED lights come on to tell him the pod is ready and functioning. He thinks about getting a second pod but realizes he can’t fly very far (or swiftly) with two pods at once. Just then an Egg Orb comes floating by and spots him. He takes off hovering backwards as he takes aim at the Egg Orb coming at him. <WHOOSH> goes the rocket and he misses the Egg Orb. “Whoa those things are hard to hit, not like those big slow Swatbots” he says to himself. He twists and turns and banks his flight path as he watches the Egg Orb pursue him and then the Egg Orb starts to fire its stun blasters at him. Then Tails remembers the explosive power of the rockets and shoots the wall in the flight path of the Egg Orb. The explosion from the rocket sends the small Egg Orb flying erratically and crashing into the wall, it hits the floor broken. Tails then sees the doors start to close and he zooms at full speed and slips through them before they close. Tails then spots two Swatbots are at the other end of the tunnel he just entered. The Swatbots start to shoot their blasters at him as he flies towards them. He zigzags back and forth in the air while he brings the rocket pod up for his shots. He unleashes two aimed rockets at each Swatbot and they both take hits in the center mass and blow apart. The doors behind the Swatbots start to close and Tails speeds up to try and make it. The legs and what’s left of the torso of one of Swatbots falls backwards and prevents the door from closing. Tails zips in this tight gap and makes it out the tunnel.

Command Grecko (from inside the command center) “DRAT! He got through another set of doors! He’s heading towards the storage rooms”

As Tails rounds a corner he narrowly runs into a dozen flying Egg Orbs coming the other way. They swiftly scatter and turn around and now give pursuit after the two tailed flying fox. “Oh just great, more of you guys!” sarcastically Tails says as he shifts his body and fly backwards which allows him to “runaway” and aim at the same time. The Egg Orbs begin shooting their blasters at Tails and he has to quickly resort to evading the shots and not shoot himself. “There is no way I’m going to be able to aim like this!” he says. He then smirks and decides to unleash all the rockets in a staggered volley into the walls and floor in front of the flying Egg orbs. The cascading explosions knock almost all the Egg Orbs to the ground in pieces.  The lone last Egg Orb comes out of the smoke and flames and follows Tails as he zooms down the tunnel. Tails drops the empty spent rocket pod to the ground to regain full flight mobility. Then Tails leads this lone Egg orb down another tunnel as it tries to blast him out of the air. As Tails flies into a large room connecting several rooms he immediately sees the room has a high ceiling. He banks high in the air and does a loop to loop maneuver to come down on top of the Egg Orb. On the downward flight path the Egg orb enters into the room and is met with a tail slash from Tails which sends the orb crashing into the floor. “It’s only a matter of time before more of them show up” says Tails to himself as he zooms past the doors to the rooms. He zips past one pair of doors and then back tracks. Peering inside the door window he sees a pallet of boxes with blue barcodes, “JACKPOT!” he says to himself as he quickly hacks the electronic lock for the storage room. He opens the boxes with the blue barcodes and finds the Fire-and-Forget missile pods. He grabs two missile pods and quickly runs for the door, he wonders if his loss of flight mobility is worth it for these missile pods. He is running out the doors to the storage room when Swatbots come marching out of nearby tunnels. Tails has no clue where to run so he just heads for a tunnel where no Swatbots are coming out. This tunnel leads down into a factory floor area with very high ceilings. The worker robots have all stopped production and are just standing there waiting for the command to start up again. Tails looks at the factory machinery and runs in-between the large pieces of machinery as the Swatbots finally enter the factory area behind him.

Command Grecko: (from inside the command center) “Close all the doors to factory 15, close all doors to factory 15! We have him boxed in now! Send the Combots there. Those Swatbots are too slow if he starts to fly again!”

Inside factory 15 the Swatbots start to blast at Tails as he ducks and moves around in the tight places of the large factory machinery carrying the two missile pods. The large Swatbots are having a hard time getting to Tails inside the tight factory production machinery. The Combots then show up and start knocking the Swatbots aside to shoot at Tails. The Combots don’t care that their blasts are blowing apart the factory robots and the production lines. Tails is finally cornered in the maze of machinery and stops. The Combots start using their electro whips to slash through the machinery to get at Tails. Tails pops both test modules into the Fire-and-Forget missile pods and the LEDs light up, he summons all his strength and starts up his spinning tails.

Tails: (Rises up above the factory machinery like an attack helicopter with both missile pods precariously hanging by just the test module jacks on either side on him) “OH YOU WANT TO PLAY ROUGH?! WELL SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIENDS!” (presses the trigger button for both Fire-and-Forget missile pods)

The missile pods empty in a flash as plumes of smoke vapor trails go everywhere and Tails is left choking in the center of a huge cloud of smoke. Explosions rock the factory floor as the Fire-and-Forget missiles run through their algorithm of threat priority targeting. The Combots being the biggest bots take the majority of missiles and are blasted into pieces by the quick agile missiles. The few remaining Combots and the huge gathering of Swatbots start firing into the smoke cloud blasting everything in sight. Large pieces of machinery start falling down around Tails as he falls to the floor which is strewed covered in rubble from the battle. An even bigger cloud of smoke fills the factory room.

Command Grecko: (walking into the factory room) “CEASE FIRE, CEASE FIRE!... Let’s see what’s left of that little flying fox…” (He stands there waiting for the smoke to clear) “Even if you bungling bots destroyed the 3E it’s better than letting it slip away into enemy hands!”
